Below are brackets for this weekend’s tournament.  Part of the entry fee will be donated to a Breast Cancer Awareness organization or Women's clinic.  Unfortunately we only had one tee ball team wanting to play; so tee ball didn’t make.  But a strong 20 teams will play this weekend. The forecast doesn’t look great.  Hopefully we’ll get a break.  I would bring a towel and maybe a poncho.  Be prepared to deal with inclement weather. A few informational items: $125 per team entry fee $10 entry fee wristband for ages 10 and up. If it ends up being a 2 day tournament we can do $7 day pass or $10 2 day pass. We have an amazing 27 teams participating in this weekend’s tournament.  Attached are the brackets for this weekend. This weekend has some special activities.  There is a costume contest and tent decorating contest.  This girls always enjoy getting to dress up at the ball field.  So it will be interesting to see everyone’s creativity.  Entry fee is only $75 and there will be a gate fee.  This is a fundraiser for the Saucier league and all profits benefit their league. Fall ball registrations are well underway and almost complete.  Reports are a good solid registration for most leagues with a lot of interest in playing this year.  Representatives for participating leagues attended the Fall Ball organizational meeting back on August 8th. This looks to be the biggest fall season ever.  Interleague play will start on Oct 10th and wrap up on Nov 10th, 2022.  Input is needed from participating leagues no later than Monday Sept 24th so schedules can be put together. Below is summary of leagues that indicated an interest in interleague play: • Biloxi • D'Iberville • East Central (16u Only) • Harrison Hancock • Long Beach • Ocean Springs • Orange Grove • Pascagoula • Poplarville (no teams, maybe tournaments) • Saucier • St. Martin • Woolmarket For each League : Age Groups/Teams participating: Constraints:  Distance, block dates, etc. For every league team participating: • Team Name • Team Sponsor (if applicable) • Coach Name • Coaches Phone Number • Any special requests (Special Requests make it harder to schedule… so please limit as much as possible) Please email your info to tstanley2128@outlook.com before September 24th to be included in the group schedule. Thank you so much for registering to play in the 2022 USA Softball of Mississippi’s South State Tournament.  This represents the culmination of a lot of hard work put forth during the 2022 Playing Season.  We’ve seen so many leagues come together to compete just like the good old days.  It’s wonderful to see everyone working to provide opportunities to these young women to experience this great game and meet softball players from across South Mississippi.  We also have some new teams coming to play and hopefully they will spread the word they are welcome to play any time.   Below is the Tournament Information packet for this weekend’s tournament.  It has the brackets and rules.  Address to the fields is 4300 Hewes Av, Gulfport, MS.  Entry fee for Tee Ball is $185, Coach Pitch is $250 and Fast Pitch is $350.   Each team will need a roster signed by all the parents.  Teams will be required to check-in prior to playing.  Along with paying the entry fee if not done already.  I’ll verify each birth certificate and picture.  Each player will also need to sign-in for the tournament.  Please allow 30 minutes in your schedule for the players to come sign-in.  Teams will not play before signing in.   Teams should be prepared to play as soon as the prior game has completed.  Game time may be as much as 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time.  This is especially true if two fresh teams are coming on the field. We’ll be prudent if a teams has played a few games in a row.   There will not be a Coaches Meeting.  Teams have different first game times and some not until Saturday.  It’s just really hard.  Please reviewed the packet and just let me know if you have any questions.   Please get your players to start hydrating.. This goes for parents and grandparents too.. It’s Championship Play Time…. The South State Championships will be played this weekend on Friday, June 24th and Saturday June 25th, 2022.  This event will be held at the Bayou View Sports Complex, 4300 Hewes Av, Gulfport, MS 39501.   Proceeds from this weekend will benefit the girls playing softball in the Gulfport Youth Sports Association.  The coaches meeting may be as early as noon on Friday.  All players will be required to sign-in before competing. Please register as soon as possible so we can plan the event.  Registering early always help draw out more teams.  The purpose of this post/email is to outline the steps you have to go through to get registered.  Don’t worry, we’ll help you get through it.  Please let me know if you need anything. REGISTRATION IS COMPLETED ONLINE FOR ALL CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY EVENTS.  PAYMENT CAN BE DONE ONLINE ALSO. BUT PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU NEED TO PAY BY CHECK OR CASH. Below is a checklist of items necessary for Championship Play: Online Tournament Registration.  Registering for a Tournament is very easy. Just click the list of Championship Play events.  Then find the tournament your team wants to play in.  Click the link out beside it.  Provide the information, select the payment method, then hit submit. Tournament Entry Fee.  The tournament entry fee must be submitted with the Tournament Entry Form.  Online payment is available.  But a check can also be mailed to cover the entry fee.  Fast Pitch is $350.00.  The State Tournament will either be two pool to double elimination or a three game guarantee.  Coach Pitch South State has a Tournament Entry Fee is $250.00.  Tee Ball will be straight double elimination with an Entry Fee of $185.  There is also a $10 convenience fee for paying online to cover the credit card transaction fees.  If you want to pay at the tournament, then just stop and you can pay at the tournament like normal.
