USA Softball of South Mississippi

Below are revised brackets for the D’Iberville Tournament.  We did have four teams drop out.  Field 1 is going to take days before we can get back on that field.  I’ve moved all those games to other fields… So everyone will need to review the brackets to see when you play.  We aren’t simply restarting the tournament. We need to make a few adjustments to hopefully get the tournament in tomorrow.  There will be No If Games.  Given it’s Sunday and kids have school Monday, we think it’s prudent.  All games will be no new inning 55 minutes… everything tee ball to 12u. When the game ahead of you is finished, please clear the dugout as soon as possible.  Team meetings will occur off the field.  Please be ready to play as soon as the game ahead is finished.  There will be no warmup on the field.  We’re going to do the pre-game while your players are entering the dugout.  You’ll need to have your lineup ready go.  We very much want to stay on schedule.. we’re going to do our part to keep it that way. Lastly, the d’Iberville League President, Brian Chatham, will go out early tomorrow and check field status.  We’ll post updates to the d’Iberville league Facebook page.  We’ll email here.. and we’ll post in the GroupMe. I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.  We can’t control any of this… but key is keeping open communications with everyone so you know what’s going on. Sorry for the lateness of the brackets.  Day job got in the way and we were waiting on 16u.  Unfortunately the 16U bracket didn’t make.  D’Iberville really tried to find some teams to make it work, it just wasn’t happening.  The brackets are attached below.  We know everyone would prefer a one day tournament.. We were able to eliminate the pool games and make it a 1-day tournament.  It’s not bad with the last game schedule for 10:40pm. Below are brackets for this weekend’s tournaments.  Please pay attention to the League Team Tournament Special Rules attached.  It’s important for teams to be ready when the field is available.  Teams must also have 7 players to start or continue an official game. The address to the Ocean Springs Sportsplex is 4515 MS-57, Ocean Springs, MS 39564.  Be prepared for anything this weekend.  It was 85 degrees today after it’s flooded all morning.  Hydrate your players in case it’s hot.  Bring rain gear in case of inclement weather.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate.  See you Saturday... We had two teams drop out this weekend.  One in 8u and one in 12u.  So I’ve revised the brackets.  Basically those games have been forfeited.  I did compress the game schedule The first game time to change is the Woolmarket Venom 12u is moved up to 4:00pm on Saturday.  We should all remember this is for the kids.  As adults, we should provide the example for all of them.
