We had two teams drop out this weekend.  One in 8u and one in 12u.  So I’ve revised the brackets.  Basically those games have been forfeited.  I did compress the game schedule The first game time to change is the Woolmarket Venom 12u is moved up to 4:00pm on Saturday.  We should all remember this is for the kids.  As adults, we should provide the example for all of them. Below are brackets to this weekend’s Woolmarket League Team Tournament. We have an incredible 52 teams participating in this year’s event. We had 4 more teams on the waiting list that we just couldn’t fit in. I suspect we could have picked up more then but we really stopped advertising it last week. I do hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and wants to play next weekend in Ocean Springs or the following weekend in d'Iberville. I know those folks would love to have you come play also. The format is straight double elimination. With the number of teams wanting to play, we just didn’t have time to fit pool games in the schedule. Just look at the umpire schedule and you’ll see every field booked on Saturday and Sunday. The entry fee is $100 per team. The gate fees for parents is $7 per day or $10 for the weekend. Kids are $5 and $8. Kids 5 and under are free. The address to the fields is Woolmarket Sports Complex, 16520 Switzer Park Rd. Biloxi, MS 39532. Be sure to put “Switzer Park Road” in your GPS… Switzer Road is not close to Switzer Park Road. Here’s are the special rules for this weekend: This tournament will be played according to “Interleague Rules” for each age division. They can be found at https://usasoftballsouthms.com/?page_id=3956 When it’s your time to play, please be ready. We’ll get one team out of the dugout and the next team will go in without delay. Team should be cognizant of the preceding game times. The next game will start approximately 10 minutes after the previous game; regardless of the scheduled game time. Be ready to play when the field is available in case we get ahead of schedule. No warmup on the field. Be ready when you go through the gate. The big baseball field is available for teams to warmup on. Coaches post-game conference will be held off the field. All pool games with be 55 minutes finish the batter Tee Ball & Coach Pitch bracket games will be 55 minutes finish the inning Fast Pitch bracket games will be 65 minutes finish the inning If time has expired and the game has been mathematically decided, the game is over. We will not finish the inning even if it’s the top of the inning. All players must be in official team uniform. Pickup players are not allowed. Home team will be determined by coin toss. I’m ready to starting working on schedules.  I need everyone to please send me their team and field setup information for their teams participating in interleague play.  It’s going to especially challenging with us be so spread out.  But we’ll do our best to keep folks closer to home whenever possible.  We certainly want to limit the longer trips.  Interleague play will start on Monday, March 20th and run through May 19th.  The 16u age division will start on Monday, April 3rd due to school ball.  I anticipate it taking 4-5 days to produce a schedule.. It going to be a massive challenge..
