Below is an email from the District 6 Commissioner on the Coach Pitch South State Tournament. Also note the date change on the Coach Pitch State Tournament.

Greetings everyone!
It is that time to make preparation for entry into the 2013 ASA South State Coach Pitch Softball Tournament. You are receiving this email because you are listed in my database as past entries in the tournament. If you are no longer affiliated with the Coach Pitch Team from your area, please advise me as to the correct contact person(s) and I will pass this information and remove you from the list.
That said, I am encouraging each of you to begin planning for the tournament. First of all, the tournament will be played in Hattiesburg, MS at the Timberton Softball Complex, located on Helveston Drive. The same location/facility as last year. The date of the tournament is July 5, 6, & 7. We will play Friday night and possibly into Sunday. Make preparations now with your parents and team members to play as early at 6pm on Friday night. Chances are we won’t have to play that early but I want you to be prepared to play on Friday night
You need to make reservations now for hotel rooms. There are many events happening this same weekend in Hattiesburg so rooms are going to fill up fast. The Hattiesburg Convention and Visitors Center has a great website and staff to assist you with this. Visit them at www.hattiesburg.org.
I will be sending out tournament packets by the end of this week. Please respond to this email and let me know if you are the contact person for this information.
One last bit of information for today. The overall state tournament date has been changed. It will be played the following weekend on July 12, 13, & 14 in Ridgeland. Make note of these changes in that there will be a fast turn-around after the North and South State Tournaments.
Also, I am expecting growth in the South State Tournament this year. Last year we had 18 teams. Based on the communication I have had with teams this year, I am anticipating about 24 teams to enter the tournament. Can’t wait!!!! This is exciting.
