I hope everyone’s registration went well. Most everyone has started league play. Tournament ball season is upon us and it’s time to start getting ready. All Tournament Teams must be Individually Registered to participate in our tournaments. This is done so each league is protected from liability without having to buy separate tournament insurance.
ASA Individual Registration sanctions the player with ASA for the year and includes $5,000,000 Liability Insurance, plus $250,000 Excess Accident Medical Insurance. Registrations need to be turned in prior to the first practice to ensure players are covered.
Several leagues already Individually Register their players. If your league registers their players, then you are good to go. You should just get the Player Registration Cards from your league official.
To register a team, you need to submit the name, address and birthday for each player. Attached is a format file in Excel for providing the player information. The cost for ASA Individual Registration is $15 per player or coach. Coaches are optional. But by registering all your players, coaches and board members, it also provides the league liability insurance at no extra cost. That can be a big cost saver for some.
