Dear Fellow Softball Enthusiasts,
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. It’s now time for all of us to get our softball leagues up and running. Opening Day will be here before we know it. Everyone should be preparing for registration and getting those fields back into playing shape. The District Meeting will be on Thursday, Feb 18th, 2016 at 6:30 PM. It will be held at the Donal Snyder Community Center at 2520 Pass Road in Biloxi.
League Presidents should plan to attend the meeting. Please pass along this invite to any new board members that would like to attend. Anyone else interested is also free to attend. It helps all of us to have people knowledgeable and ready to step in and help. I’d also appreciate if everyone would please let me know if there are any changes in your organization.
Next year will be a year to remember for ASA/USA Softball as we begin rebranding efforts for our organization to USA Softball. Our affiliation with the United State Olympic Committee has become stronger and stronger. All of the other Olympic sports are united under the Team USA banner. What American doesn’t wish to wear the USA across their uniform. As the softball world continues to develop, focusing on the USA Softball brand will showcase our organization to our fullest potential. It looks very promising to get softball and baseball back into the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
I also encourage everyone to Like the Gulf Coast ASA softball page. It’s a way to stay in touch with the latest information. The name will be changing in the upcoming days as we rebrand to USA Softball. The URL to the group is below:
