Below is a link to brackets for this weekend’s Stone-Wiggins Fall Invitational. The tournament will be at the Hood Fields in Wiggins. The closest address to Hood Fields that works for GPS’s is 490 Mill Av. Wiggins, MS 39577.
2016 Stone-Wiggins Fall Invitational Brackets
The 10u and 12u will play one pool to double elimination. The 14u bracket didn’t make. Hopefully, it will improve once slow pitch, volleyball, etc. gets finished. Coach Pitch will just play best 2 of 3. The registration fee in Coach Pitch will be adjusted to reflect the format change. Just a few reminders for the fall:
- Each team will provide a new or like new ball for each game
- All players must bat in pool play. A team may bat just 9, the whole roster or any number in between in bracket play.
- Courtesy runners must be available substitutes. If no substitutes are available, then last out can be used as courtesy runner for pitcher or catcher. Likewise if a team is batting their whole lineup, then last out can be used.
- Pool games have a time limit of 1 hour finish the batter.
- Teams will be seeded into brackets by blind draw (You draw-you play).
- Teams must also age up in the fall to their Jan 1, 2017 playing age. We don’t want 11 year olds hitting to 8 year olds or 13 year olds hitting to 10 year olds.
- Individual awards only for 1st and 2nd place and no team trophy.
The weather is supposed to be good. But it’s been a while since our teams have played. So you will want to make sure your players hydrate well and be ready for the heat.
