The Helena Girls Softball League invites everyone to their girl’s invitational tournament this weekend, May 19-20th. The tournament will be held at the Helena Softball Complex. The address to the fields is Ballfield Road, Moss Point, MS 39562. They are looking forward to having a great weekend and would greatly appreciate your support.
USA Softball of South Mississippi helps organize the invitational tournament trail to help our local leagues raise money to support their softball program. A lot of families simply can’t afford to put out a bunch of money to play softball. The leagues bear much of financial burden so the girls can go out and play. All proceeds this weekend will go to the Helena Girls Softball League.
Another important thing… We normally start registration on Mondays. So if you look on Monday, there probably won’t be many teams listed. So you wait, then someone else waits…and someone else… It would be really, really helpful if you registered early. By registering early, it will draw other teams out to come play. So please, please REGISTER EARLY.
One of thing…. Our tournament trail exists to support our league girls getting the opportunity to play competitive level of ball. We’ve seen a dramatic reduction in league-sponsored teams over the last couple of years. We need league to get their All-Star teams together and get out there an play. The success of softball on the coast originates in our league and our All-Star programs. Leagues exist so girls to learn this great game. As coaches, we all strive to get our players to the next level. So lets go…..
USA Softball of South Mississippi invitational tournaments are fundraisers for the tournament hosts. All proceeds from this weekend’s tournament will benefit the girls of the St. Martin league.
