The Biloxi Girls Softball League will host their annual Girls Invitational Tournament this weekend. The tournament is scheduled for June 3-5, 2011. They will host all age groups; Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, 10u, 12u & 16u.
The tournament will be at the Biloxi Sportsplex at 765 Wells Drive in Biloxi. I encourage everyone to register as soon as possible. We had 39 teams in Gulfport last weekend. I expect the tournament to fill up very quickly. Register early to reserve your space in the tournament.
This week we will have a few more 16U teams joining in on the fun. We are rapidly approaching the end of the Friday/Saturday tournament. Look for big changes in the way tournaments are scheduled. By City of Biloxi ordinance, no new inning shall start after 11:05 PM. So Sunday play may be necessary in some age groups.
We are also approaching Championship Play. So these tournaments will be run like Championship Play. So I expect everyone to be on their BEST BEHAVIOR. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated by coaches, fans or players.
