Below are brackets for this weekend’s 2025 D’Iberville Amanda Ward Rec League Team Tournament. The event will be held at the D’Iberville Sports Complex at 15641 MS Hwy 15, D’Iberville, MS 39532.
This tournament is dedicated to memory of Amanda Ward. Amanda and her brother, Jimmy, were tragically killed in a car accident while heading to school. The DGYSL will be giving out special commemorative rings to the finalists as part of the event. The tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday. Every attempt was made to avoid playing on Sunday. Due to the amount of teams playing each weekend, it’s getting harder not to play on Sunday. The three games on Friday night are to allow a couple of more teams to play this weekend.
It’s going to be real important to keep games moving so we can stay on time. Each team needs to leave the dugout as soon as possible. Teams meetings must occur off the field. The next team needs to be ready immediately following the prior game. That means lineups ready when you hit the dugout. There is no warmup on the field either. Be conscious of the games being played… you could start earlier than the schedule states. Please keep an eye out on the bracket in case any changes are needed.
The weather on Saturday is spotty… so be prepared for wet stuff. Bring a dry towel and a possibly a rain coat.
