Well.. it’s getting hotter. Not just the temperature, but the blood pressure of the participants. That includes players, coaches, parents and umpires. I’ve been a few scrapes over the years.. so I know how and why it happens. First, we wouldn’t be here if we weren’t competitive people. Second, we sending out our most prized possession, our kids, to participate. Third, we never want to see our kids be deprived of an opportunity. With that backdrop, we are all humans and doing the best we can… So I ask that everyone please take a deep breath.. realize no scholarships will be given out this weekend. Remember it’s for the kids and us adults should set the example.
Below are brackets for this weekend’s 2025 Long Beach Invitational. We have 33 teams participating this weekend… so another full weekend. The tournament will be played according to All-Star Rules for the division. The address to the Long Beach Softball Complex is 760 Klondyke Road, Long Beach, MS.
This is a fundraiser event for the Long Beach Girls Softball League. The entry fee is $175 for TB/CP and $200 for Fast Pitch. Checks should be made out to LBGSL.
Looks like we’re in a typical summer weather pattern. It’s been very hot with a chance of a thunderstorm passing through. Have your players hydrate. Watch out for grandparents.. Plus bring a towel or two. Let’s make it a great weekend.
