2026 Biloxi Rec Team Invitational Tournament Brackets

May 6, 2026

Brackets for this weekend’s 2026 Biloxi Rec Team Invitational are attached. We have a very impressive 47 teams competing this weekend. The tournament will be played at the A.J. Holloway Sportsplex. The address is 765 Wells Drive, Biloxi, MS 39532. Everyone wants to complete the tournament on Saturday if at all possible. Especially with Sunday being Mother’s Day.

The forecast for this weekend is not good… luckily we do have the turf fields. I’ve compressed the schedule as much as possible. It’s imperative we manage to keep the games on schedule. Fast Pitch games will be no new inning after 65 mins. Please keep track of the game ahead of yours and be ready to play when it’s over. Please also check the brackets frequently for any schedule changes. We will do our best to make good decisions and keep you informed of any changes. Sometimes it’s just a wait and see with Mother Nature.

Playing in Biloxi does have some challenges. The City of Biloxi has a curfew ordinance.. no inning can start after 10:30PM. All the fields are turf… so steel cleats will not be allowed. No exceptions. There are some other rules like no sunflower seeds, no gum, no skateboards, etc.

This is a no pickup tournament. No pickups means no pickups. I know of four instances this years with teams playing with pickups. In the meeting with all the League Presidents, we decided not to allow pickups in these Rec Team Tournaments. Everyone submitted the rosters for their teams. I combined them and posted them online for League Presidents access. Any team competing with a player not on the roster will be disqualified from the tournament. They will forfeit that game and be removed from the tournament.

Many of you may have seen the incident that happened with Grand Slam Baseball in Starkville. We enacted a zero tolerance policy after the female umpire was punched in Laurel a few years ago. For the most part, we have very few problems. But any time they make a close call.. 50% of the people are going to be mad. Coaches, parents and fans should show respect to umpires and comply with their directions. Failure to do so comes with stiff penalties. Invitations to the parking lot are an automatic multiple weekend ejection subject to a Conduct Review Board investigation. So let’s have a nice weekend and enjoy watching these kids play the game.

This is the last Rec Team Tournament of the season. We go to All-Stars next weekend. I’m hoping everyone is making progress getting their All-Stars together. I know Pascagoula would love to a good participation next weekend. Players must have played on a rostered team in your league and be on list of rostered players submitted earlier this year.

Interleague play will be ending next week. School doesn’t have much longer.. All-Star time is almost here. I’d like to thanks all the leagues for supporting these Rec Team Tournaments. I’m amazed by the participation. We’ve also raised a lot of money for these leagues to fund their All-Star programs. Let’s finish strong through May and June to give these girls a chance to compete at a higher level and help these other program.

Thanks for everything you do for these kids,,,

Thank you for Playing USA Softball!
