Registration Now Open For 2012 MSU Softball Winter Clinics

November 28, 2011

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Head coach Vann Stuedeman announced today that registration is now open for the 2012 Mississippi State Softball Winter Clinics on Jan. 7, 2012. Youth softball players looking for in-depth, personalized instruction from one of the best coaching staffs in the South can attend by registering online.
“This is my first camp as head coach, and to say I’m excited to see what type of talent shows up would be an understatement,” Stuedeman said. “I remember how much I learned and how much fun I had at my first camp as a child, and I know all the talented girls attending our clinic Jan. 7 will share in that same experience.”
The clinics will be held at Palmeiro Center, MSU softball’s nationally-praised indoor practice facility, as well as the Shira Athletic Complex on the MSU campus. Instruction for the camps will be provided by Stuedeman, assistant coaches Beth Mullins and Alan Reach and former US national team member Ashley Holcombe Bell.
January’s camp schedule opens with a morning hitting (7th-12th grade) and pitching (2nd-6th grade) session from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. The afternoon session of hitting (2nd-6th grade) and pitching (7th-12th grade) goes from 1-4:30 p.m. Catchers in grades 7-12 looking to enhance their skill level with Holcombe Bell can attend the catching clinic from 1-3 p.m.
Cost for a single hitting or pitching session is $50, with the catching clinic costing $40. Campers looking to maximize their instruction can attend two sessions for just $90. Registration on the day of the clinics is $60 each or $120 for two sessions.
