Below is a link to the Tournament Information Packet for this weekend’s State Championships. Sorry for the delay, we have three 14u teams drop out yesterday. Then a 10u was added and dropped out 30 minutes later. There seems to be a lot of last minutes changes and a lot of teams are having trouble staying together. We’re glad to have all of playing this weekend.

The 10u and 14u are playing a different bracket. It’s called a drop down bracket. In 10u, we have ten teams. The first seven to lose two games will drop down to the B Division single elimination bracket. The top three teams will play for the A Division 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The seven in the drop down bracket will play for the B Division 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We will award two sets of trophies. The 14u bracket works similarly. The top two will play for A Division 1st and 2nd. The B Division will play for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The 12u will play two pool to double elimination. The pool games won’t count toward seeding. I mixed everything up so you won’t play the same team in the pool game and the first bracket game.
There will a coaches meeting on Friday at 4:00 PM at the Gulfport Sportsplex. The physical address is 17200 16th St, Gulfport, MS 39503. Players will need to sign in before they get ready to play. So the players should be there two hours before their first game.
It’s supposed to be hot and dry. Please have your players start hydrating tonight. The Gulfport Sportsplex will only allow one team cooler per team. Personal coolers and not allowed. So plan accordingly.
