I’ve done more sets of brackets each week than I ever remember.. Rain, forfeits, overflows… you name it.. Well here’s one more set for this weekend..
A few considerations… Our teams don’t want to play on Sunday on a normal weekend… but this is Memorial Day.. We also have people that have to work due to the holiday.. I polled all the league presidents group. The consensus was do what we needed to do to make it one day if possible.
So here’s the plan. Coach Pitch will be no new inning after 50 minutes. Fast Pitch will be no new inning after 60 minutes. We still have the IF game on the bracket.. but we will conscious of the time. How late do we keep the kids out on the ball field. It’s an aggressive schedule.. so no warmup on the field. We’ll be rolling games in as quickly as one finishes, the next one will start. Coaches will need to have lineups ready when you hit the field.
All bets are off tomorrow if we get more precipitation. We’ll make the best decisions we can. If anything changes, we’ll send a notice out as soon as we know.
Finally.. this is the holiday where we remember those that gave all so that we can be free to play this great game. Our gratitude and prayers go out to all those great patriots.
