All right everyone. Rained out the first weekend. Half-rained out the second weekend. Let’s try to finish a whole tournament. Registration is open for the Long Beach Invitational to be held at the Klondyke St Fields in Long Beach from May 1-3.
The Long Beach tournament is always a popular event. They will only have the Klondyke fields due to High School softball playoffs. So please register early. Here’s the Registration Page:

As a reminder, all players must be ASA Individually Registered. If you are not registered, it can be done online at:
ASA Individual Registration Form
It’s super important for all players to be Individually Registered. First, it includes a supplemental accident liability insurance policy providing a benefit to the player if anything were to happen. These are new teams, so they probably aren’t covered by you league insurance. It only covers your team for league play. Second, it includes a general liability policy that protects the tournament and the tournament host if anything were to happen.
So we’re going to be stricter this year. The rules state all players must be Individually Registered. As such, as player participating that is not registered will be considered an ineligible player. The penalty for use of an ineligible player is forfeiture of the game. It was brought to my attention that it’s not fair for some teams to register all of their players and some don’t. I had to agree with it. It’s something that needs to be done for all the right reasons. So in addition to your birth certificates, coaches should have your ASA Player Registration Cards with you at the tournament.
Thanks you Playing ASA!
